The aim is to masculinize the breast shape

Become evident in days to weeks but healing continues for months
Indications
Breast enlargement in men. Invariably, the circulating hormonal levels are normal. However, there may be increased hypersensitivity of the breast glands to those levels.
Complications
Persistent gland hypertrophy, dished-out breast appearance, and skin irregularities are some of the noted problems.
Recovery
Swelling and bruising will take a few weeks to subside. A compression garment is worn for 1 month to minimize pain and bruising.
Anesthesia
General or local with sedation.

A small scar around the areola that hides within its coloration is present. It is hardly visible.
When well treated, recurrence is rare especially if the glandular component had been surgically excised
The fatty component of the breast becomes larger. Obesity may induce enlargement of the glands as well
